The thought of “deciding what to do” after college can be overwhelming. Starting a job search blindly, without some specific ideas of what sorts of jobs interest you, also has its own set of challenges.
Searching for a job can be a fun and exciting process when you are aware of cool jobs that are out there, what they’re like, and how to pursue them. So set aside time to explore careers online; talk with people to learn about their careers; and seek out ways to experience what a career field is like through an internship or other similar opportunity.
As you learn about jobs that interest you and what those positions require, it will become much easier to focus your job search and prepare for the interview process. Gathering this information can take time, so it may be worth including in your college plan.
