Because the Marshall Brooks Library is a member of the CARLI consortium, we are able to borrow books and other multimedia materials from any of the other 89 members throughout the state of Illinois. If there is a title you cannot find in the library's catalog, it may be available through I-Share.
You can search for items in all libraries participating in I-Share using our Library Search @ Principia. From the simple search page, choose "all I-Share libraries" from the drop-down box:
Or, from the advanced search page, choose the radial button for "All I-Share libraries":
Once you've found an item you want, click on its individual record and scroll down to the "Get It" section. If our library does not have the item, the section will be labeled "How to Get It" instead.
Click on "I-Share" to go to the requesting screen (this may take some patience, as the I-Share screen can be slow to load).
The details about the item requested will be filled in automatically. Make sure the item details and where you’ll pick it up are correct. There is also a spot to write any comments you have to help us fill your request. Then click “send request.”
