Have a Question? Just AASC!

In order to be the most successful in college, students need to understand the skills which contribute to optimal learning. Then, they will need to understand what their strengths and areas of needed growth might be as a student.

AASC can assist students in assessing their skills and needs in the following areas:

  • Time management
  • Organizational skills
  • Study skills
  • Approaches and practices that reinforce a commitment to learning

Then we'll work with students to help them develop the skills they need.

Academic Success services include support for:

  • students with individualized learning needs
  • conditionally admitted students
  • students on academic probation
  • students involved in academic misconduct (for needs other than writing)
  • students seeking assistance
  • students referred by others

Support could look like developing the following skills:

  • self-assessment
  • understanding course/assignment expectations
  • improving time management and organization
  • improving study skills
  • improving communication with professors
  • similar identified needs
