Sometimes experiencing a disability or long-term/substantial illness or injury can create barriers to learning. AASC addresses academic accessibility to remove such barriers by:
- helping faculty plan coursework which is more accessible to more students and/or
- helping students and faculty plan reasonable accommodations to remove barriers to learning
At Principia, we do not diagnose disabilities, though we work with students who have confirmed or suspected disabilities. We also help any student assess their strengths and needs in regard to skill-building and/or accommodations which would be necessary to remove barriers to learning.
