Anthropology of India - SOAN 251 - Steindorf

Graphic showing a research strategy to get started. Start with a general search and books for context and helpful search terms, journal articles for more details, and then news, NGOs, and data for evidence and depth.

Give this a try!

  1. Remember, you want to start broad before you get more specific.
  2. Run a general search for your topic in Wikipedia to get background and find helpful terms for your searching.
  3. Using those terms, search for a book related to your topic in Library Search - Books & Media @ Prin.
  4. After learning about how scholars talk about your topic, try searching in:
    1. 2 different databases
    2. Google Scholar
    3. And a news source
