Instructions for Musical Reviews Jigsaw Activity
- In groups of 3, read the provided review and create a reverse outline.
To create a reverse outline, read the review and beside each paragraph, write down the main idea expressed. Try to use just a few words. All group members will need to create a reverse outline, as you'll be sharing your findings with people from outside your group.
- When all groups are ready, each group will split into three new groups. There are numbers at the top of each review - the new groups will have all the 1s together, all the 2s together, and all the 3s together.
- In your new groups, share your reverse outlines with each other, looking for similarities, differences, and important characteristics you notice about this genre of writing.
- Record your findings in the course guide below.
