The library strives to make its services accessible to all users. The front desk is staffed with trained workers during all opening hours, and they will be happy to assist you.
Librarians are available during the work day (typically 9-5 Monday through Friday) and can also help.
If you need help retrieving items from the library, ask any library staff member at the service desk for assistance. They will be happy to accompany you or retrieve the item from the stacks. You can also request items through our catalog ahead of time and pick them up at the circulation desk in the lobby.
When there is an item from the catalog that you’d like, first log in to your account, then click the “Request for Pickup” link in the “Get it” section.
A popup page will open:
If there’s a date after which you wouldn’t need the item, you can note that on the form. Feel free to add any comments that will help us fulfill your request, then click “send request.”
Only animals certified as service animals in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act are allowed inside the building.
If you bring an animal into the library, staff may ask only two questions to ascertain if your animal is a service animal:
Staff are not allowed to request any documentation for the service animal, ask that the service animal demonstrate its task, or inquire about the handler’s disability.
