How to request books, journals and other materials that aren't available at the Marshall Brooks Library

Requesting Books & Media

If you want a title that is not available through Library Search @ Prin or I-Share:

Search WorldCat.org for the item and click on its title.

  • Click on the link "Borrow this item from another library"

     
  • Fill out and submit the WorldCat form.

Requesting Journal Articles

You can request journal articles from an EbscoHost database, a ProQuest database, or through a form.

From an EbscoHost database:

  • Click on the detailed record for the article.
  • Click on the link “Request document via interlibrary loan” and complete the form.

From ProQuest One Business:

  • Click on the detailed record for the article
  • Click on "Request this item" and complete the form.

Interlibrary Loan Policies and Information

  • It takes up to 14 days to receive materials.
  • Maximum of 6 requests per week per individual.
  • Generally, there are no renewals of ILL materials.  You may keep the print or electronic copies of the articles.
  • Requests for course textbooks will not be filled. 
  • Not all items listed in WorldCat are available for interlibrary loan.
  • This service is available for current Principia College faculty, staff and students.
